How it works
A careful first test, start to finish
Set Apart is a student business project in prelaunch. Here is exactly how we plan to go from concept to your closet — and the checkpoints we won’t skip.
Step 1
Print on demand
Each item is made after an order is placed, rather than produced in bulk up front. That means no unsold inventory sitting in a closet — and less risk while we learn what people actually want.
Step 2
Samples first
Before anything goes on sale, we will order one quality sample of each proposed product, check the print and embroidery in person, and share real photos. The images on this site are concept mockups, not sample photos.
Step 3
Approvals before selling
As a class project, we sell only after our professor and Innovation Project Mentor approve the concept, the sales platform, the payment method, and our first marketing materials.
Step 4
Feedback drives what’s next
The first release is a careful test: one design on a T-shirt and hoodie in cream or black. Three upcoming drops are planned, and future designs will depend on early orders, customer feedback, and required approvals.
What this means for you
The Classics preorder runs October 2 at 10:00 AM through October 13 at 3:30 PM Pacific. Shipping is a flat $9 per order, added at checkout, and production begins after the preorder closes.
